The EFT Practitioners Guide

Dear EFT Practitioner,

Back in 2000 I was working as an accounts receivable manager for a million dollar corporation. Every day I would sit in my little cubicle crunching numbers and calling people to ask them for money. There was such emptiness inside of me that I was so eager to fill but I didn’t have a clue as to how to get out of the cycle.

2001 was a year of many changes for all of us. The tragedy of 9–11 was a wake up call for me and within a few weeks I quit that job, not having a clue what I would do. I just knew that I could not waste one more breath in that cubicle because something inside of me was yearning to make a difference in this world.

For months I devoted time to searching for the job that fit me. When I wasn’t looking for a job I was reading spiritual self help and business books. It occurred to me one day as I was reading my self help book of the week that I would only be truly happy working in a holistic practice. It sounds SOOO simple now but that day it was like the light came on … whatever I would do with my time it had to be enriching for me and whomever I would serve.

As synchronicity would have it, someone forwarded a link to a personal coach’s page around this time. Personal Coach? I had never heard of such a thing but it completely intrigued me. SO after three or four days of research, I found Thomas Leonard’s training site called Coachville. I jumped in with both feet, registered and became one of his first 100 members and became fully engaged in becoming a personal success coach.

Three months later and after dozens of happy clients, I found myself thinking … something is missing. All of this coaching feels like goal setting and striving and there seemed to be an element missing for me.

Synchronicity stepped in again! Someone told me about EFT. I was very hesitant to pursue it as the person made it sound too good to be true. But always the one to explore every open door, I found someone in Charlotte that was giving a free demo within a week or two and so I went.

The rest is history. I had such a profound experience that I did nothing for the next 4 weeks but watch and rewatch every EFT Video (they were VHS tapes back then) and I treated myself as if I were the client.

Then I slowly began to introduce EFT to my coaching clients with phenomenal success. After completing my EFT ADV certificate with Dr. Carrington (there were no live trainings at the time either), I was happily on my way to creating a Life Skills Coaching Practice using EFT. In April 2005 I received my EFT Masters designation and celebrated the end to ever sitting in a cubicle for me!

Over these years, I have seen both for myself and for others the profound impact that EFT makes in clearing life long negative patterns, limiting beliefs, fears, stress, traumatic memories and more. Having been a life long student of self growth, I know that EFT works and it works quickly and when applied correctly the results are permanent!

I created The EFT Practitioner’s Guide because I want to share with you a short cut to starting your practice. But I was determined to make it work because I wanted everyone to know and use EFT. I wanted to create a practice that allowed me to follow my new found passion. I had to learn a lot from scratch and there was a lot of trial and error. Okay, truthfully, a lot of the error part at the beginning!

I kept at it and things started to click for me. I got my basic office procedures and systems in place and they were working well. That allowed me to spend more time talking to people about EFT. And that led to more and more sessions.

As I met other EFT practitioners and they saw the success I was having, they started asking me to help them with their practices. So several years ago I created a coaching program for EFT practitioners. In doing those programs and working with many practitioners, I saw that people were hungry for information on the systems and strategies I had used.

So I decided to take all that I had learned and create a system that other EFT practitioners could follow. An approach that combined all I had learned about running a small business and about getting clients.
